The city of Miami and glamour go hand in hand with each other. This stunning city on Florida's Atlantic coast is a place where the sun seems to shine every day, and when it sets, the nightlife throbs with a Latino beat that you can't help dancing to until dawn.
A city so fabulous that it hurts, Miami is high energy music, high fashion clothing, and high tempo lifestyle. All day every day the people of Miami seek to look beautiful, whatever the cost, roller bladers glide along the sea front and the beach is filled with people topping up their sun tan wherever they can, just so they get noticed at the bar in the evening.
The shopping in the city is absolutely second to none, with a wide variety of malls in the areas of Miami Beach, South Beach, and Down Town where you can buy the latest fashion items as well as more specialised boutiques and shops in places like Little Havana (the famous Cuban neighbourhood) where you can satisfy your need for beads, Caribbean fashions, and many other zany items.
A number of areas around Miami are well known for offering some of the best nightlife in the whole USA, but the two main places to go for a night out are the myriad bars in the downtown area on the mainland, and the surprising and indeed legendary nightclubs in the South Beach area.
Miami would seem then to be the most shallow place in the world, a city where the only thing that matters is the cut of your shirt and colour of your hair, but this could not be further from the truth. In Miami, the most important thing for most people along the beach strip is that they enjoy themselves in life, and get the most out of everything. The fact that they manage to do this, and still look fantastic is a credit to them.
Aside from looking great, and soaking up the sun, other activities in Miami include playing a challenging round of golf on one of the many manicured golf courses that surround the city, or taking the opportunity offered by Miami's superb location to explore the fascinating areas that surround the city - driving down through the Florida Keys, or taking a trip into the Everglades in order to see some alligators in the swamp.
One thing is for certain, visiting Miami is a real treat, and the city can become the venue for the holiday of a lifetime - just remember to look your best.
